1. Introduction
TapBridge (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use TapBridge.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: Your name, email address, and phone number (optional) when you create an account
- Tag design content: Design prompts, uploaded logos and images, color preferences, and font choices
- Landing page content: Profile photo, headline, contact info, social links, custom buttons, and disclaimer text you publish on your landing page
- Shipping information: Name and delivery address provided when approving a tag for printing
- Salesforce credentials: If you connect Salesforce, your login URL, username, password, and security token — stored encrypted and used solely to sync contacts on your behalf
- Business card scans: Images of business cards you scan; extracted contact data (name, title, company, email, phone, address)
- Support communications: Messages you send to support@tapbridge.io
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, tags created, features used, session duration
- Device and browser information: Browser type, operating system, IP address
- NFC scan events: When a tag's landing page is accessed via NFC tap or direct URL (timestamp and general location region, not precise GPS)
Information from third parties
- Payment information: Stripe processes all payments and provides us with transaction metadata (amount, date, plan). We never receive or store your full card number.
- Tapper-submitted information: If you enable Contact Capture on your tag, visitors who opt in provide their name, email, and phone. This data is associated with your tag and delivered to you.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To generate AI-powered 3D tag designs using your prompts and uploads
- To manufacture and ship your physical tags
- To host and serve your digital landing page
- To send transactional emails (magic link authentication, order confirmations, gift notifications, preview-ready alerts)
- To sync contacts to Salesforce on your behalf when you use that integration
- To process business card scans and deliver extracted contact data
- To provide customer support
- To improve the Service and fix bugs
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models.
4. AI Processing
TapBridge uses Anthropic's Claude AI models to generate tag designs and power the support chat assistant. When you submit a design prompt or upload a logo, that content is transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We use API access only — your data is not used by Anthropic to train their models under standard API terms.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare R2 (file storage), and Anthropic (AI processing). These providers access only the data necessary to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Tag gifting: When you gift credits or assign a tag to a recipient, their email address is shared as necessary to deliver the gift notification and link the tag to their account.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and tag data for as long as your account is active. Landing page content is retained to serve your permanent landing page URL. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
Tapper-submitted contact information (from Contact Capture) is retained until you delete it or close your account.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage, HTTPS-only access, and access controls. No system is completely secure — if you become aware of any security issue, please contact us at support@tapbridge.io.
Salesforce credentials are stored in encrypted form and are only used to make API calls on your behalf.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out: Opt out of any marketing emails (all current emails are transactional)

9. Children's Privacy
TapBridge is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@tapbridge.io.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent update.
